Barcelona Peaks

Today, I’m writing on proximity. More specifically, on the ability to feel distance from a non-3D object. This lovely Barcelona scene was taken from the inside of a church steeple approximately 50 feet higher than the buildings below. Like a row of doll houses they nicely fit within the 10 inch opening that towers over them. 

Each of us, rapidly buzz through daily grinds on a roving axis consuming checkpoint to checkpoint as the greater scenery slowly changes with earthly rotation. Proximity is all about movement and appreciation. We appreciate what we are close to and feel separations gliding onto the next destination.  As a photographer, reflecting angle and felt distance into a non-3D object is to show that time has passed and significant movement has occurred. A still photo is an invitation to the masses for a corporate acknowledgement of one’s journey and what it represents.

Capturing Culture

The opportunity to travel and take pictures has been my long-time dream. From a young age, I've been inspired by what I see on trips both domestically and abroad. Even through the uniquely beautiful lenses of culture, it is both apparent and profound to me that human needs are essentially basic across the board. Everyone wanting to be recognized, loved and special. My goal in photography comes from creating images which foster a common connection to these places-making them known to the non-passerby.
